What is FAME?

Tell-A-FriendFAME, the Foundation for Art and Music in Education, is a professional member organization of 202 and growing art, music, dance, drama teachers and principals throughout northern Indiana. FAME programs primarily serve elementary age children.

FAME members are dedicated to teaching multi-cultural arts to K-8 children in northern Indiana. Ongoing annual programs focus on a current world arts study and through the following programs FAME brings the study to the classroom: Visiting Artists, the Composition Project, Fusion of Concert Colors Concerts, FAME Summer Arts Camps, regional Festivals, Teacher Workshops, Culture Kits and The FAME Fabulous Flyer.

Annual FAME programs touch the lives of almost 150,000 school children and their families throughout the school year. Funding for our programs is provided by donations from arts advocates including schools, teachers, parents, business leaders, corporations, small businesses, civic agencies and philanthropic foundations.
