FW Philharmonic FW Ballet Composition Project Follow-up Letter
Hi FAMEous Composers and Parents:
Wow! The 2011-12 FAME FW Philharmonic FW Ballet Composition Project Composition/"Composium" sessions were a huge success! Your music compositions are fabulous!
Now that the Composition/"Composium" leg of the FAME FW Philharmonic FW Ballet Composition Project is behind us, here are a few follow-up items for you:
1. Remember the Noteflight web site at http://comets1.sites.noteflight.com/login will be active until next October. Please continue to compose your own music compositions, print them, and to view other FAMEous Composers' compositons. Remember, comments must be TOTALLY positive. We will be monitoring the web site regularly to view your compositions and to make helpful comments.
2. How to burn your FAMEous Composer Compositions to CD:
- Have your parents download ad install iTunes from the Apple web site at http://www.apple.com/itunes if you don't have the app at: (free-works on P.C. too).
- Login to your file at http://comets1.sites.noteflight.com/login and open each of your music compositions.
- Go to File, Export, then, Export as MIDI or wave file. Export each composition to your desktop.
- Open iTunes, create a new playlist called FAMEous Composer (your name) Compositions.
- Drag each of your compositions from the desktop to the playlist.
- Go to File, Burn Playlist to Disk, insert your Musical Signature Composition blank disk, and burn.
3. You can access photos taken during the Composition/"Composium" sessions to download at:

4. You can access David Crowe, FAME Composer-In-Residence's web site at: http://www.davidcrowemusic.com/index.html
5. You can send completed homework papers in the envelope provided in your Project Portfolio (you'll need to put postage on the envelope, or turn them in at the Composition Project Display at the information booth at the FAME Northeast Festival, March 17, 18, or complete the homework online at the FAMEbloggers Weblog (scroll to find entries) at: http://www.famearts.org/fameblog (you will need to click the anomynous button to post your comments. Use your avatar name if you sign in the comment box).
6. I will be giving your music teacher a login to our Noteflight web page so they can access all of your music compositions, make helpful comments, and print them out.
