Born in Minnesota and raised on a lake in Wisconsin, Bruce spent numerous hours using his imagination to live out his childhood fantasies. Today, Bruce finds himself doing very much the same things: bringing to life through paintings what we all fantasize about in our minds.

From illustrating books and collector plates to producing over 150 limited edition prints and etchings, Bruce is proud to have carved a name in art history. Through generous contributions and the motivation of nature, he has helped raise many thousands of dollars for conservation.

Illustrating children’s books has been a wonderful experience and is a stepping stone in Bruce’s career. After a successful career in both commercial illustration and wildlife art, Bruce has focused lately on children and is now proud to add yet another children’s book to his list of achievements. In addition to Once Upon a Christmas Eve Bruce has illustrated nine other children’s books including P is for Putt, Win One for the Gipper, B is for Buckeye, V is for Volunteer, H is for Hoosier, Cardinal Numbers, Count on Us, H is for Hawkeye, P is for Passport & Hands as Warm as Toast. A lasting career as a nationally renowned children’s book illustrator is one of Bruce’s goals in life along with continuing his love for nature art.

“It has been great fun teaching children how to become artist’s during my school presentations. My plan now is to be a well rounded father, husband, friend and teacher of art. Presently I am busy with illustrating yet another children’s book along with completing a series of new paintings.”

Bruce resides in Indiana with his wife Rebecca two sons, Brett and Rory along with three parrots Kenya, Maui & Coconut, a guinea pig named Microsoft and a miniature schnauzer named Wrigley.
